Hello, all. I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I actually do not own a Hi Point right now, but I have always been a fan. I own and have owned many firearms though and am no gunsmith, but consider myself to be quite knowledgeable on the subject. I just love shooting and I hate to see it to be getting so expensive. I am currently in Afghanistan but will be returning home soon and have decided to buy my first Hi Point. I look forward to getting home and documenting my new purchase, modifications, and range trips with my new Hi Point on this forum with people who don't dog the name constantly.

Put your feet up and make yourself at home.

Owning a Hi Point is not a requirement to visit here. Most of us here have a variety of different firearms.

That's enough to fit in here.

Which model are you planning to get first?

I was looking at purchasing the C9 first even though the carbines look pretty nice. I found some wooden grips on Ebay that I plan to put on the pistol. Have any of you used these grips? I am referring to the walnut grips they are currently priced at $18.

I've never modified the pistols but there are guys on here who have. Don't be afraid to ask or use the 'search' and find older threads about modifications.

Welcome to the group! Keep your head down and your powder dry ;)

Actually Hi Points are being regarded by a lot of people as a better choice of fireams than they were 5 or so years ago.... Now people begrudgingly admit that they are a dependable gun and a good choice for many people especially as a first gun. And the carbines are getting to where they are liked by many non Hi Point owners.

like Ampersand said, no need to own one to hang out here, just a love of guns and a willingness to shoot the bull will suffice :)

Happy shooting Dave Gillespie - (Sharp Shooter), you will be missed and remembered.

We will miss you Jerry Roberts - (woodyubet), you will not be forgotten.

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.
