HI, First time here. old and weak. Just got Hipoint .45 and .40-SW. Old and weak. Need easier trigger pull. Can I do this easily or do I need a gun smith?
Anyone selling magazines holding more bullets? What sites have good and inexpensive holsters? Not a cowboy nor do I expect to be in combat. Just want a reasonable holster while bank fishing.

Are there user manuals online?
Bob Bommer in Kent WA. or, bobsomm@aol.com

Thanks

Reloading is best source for cheap and reliable ammo!!!
Especially in .40 and .45. Can really "tune" your loads for what
you and your guns like. Most often results in better consistency
than factory ammo for MUCH cheaper.

Best! solution for trigger job is to sit in front of the TV for a week or two and repeatedly pull the trigger for hours... change hands when tired.
Much of the trigger "stiffness" is in friction between the linkage contact points. Either shooting it (which I recommend as there are several
things on the HPs that need "breakin") or just pulling the trigger to wear it in. The use essentially polishes the friction points.

You should also load your mags FULL and let them set for at least a week. The longer the better. Many people find that if they load mags full,
the first one out either goes in nose down or nose up. Often due to too much mag spring tension. Sometimes due to mag lip adjustment.

Do the breakin first before tweaking any thing.

If the mentally deficient are not allowed to own guns then why should they be allowed to make gun laws?

I didn't need to tweak my mag lips at all. I did however, use 800 grit wet/dry sandpaper on the underside of the mag lips to "de-bur" them.
Allows them to slide from mag to battery a little easier.

And HUGE welcome to the forum!!!!!!!
Howdy from AZ!!!! ;)

Thanks HPT Reloading guy. Gave away my reloading stuff about 30nyears ago and don't expect to shoot much anymore. Just got the guns for might stand and concealed carry because I have become crippled in my golden years and feel like an east target for thugs. Just want to level the playing field. Also thought I should have some weapons before Obama declares martial law and removes our opportunity to easily exercise our 2nd amendment rights.
I'll try what you recommended
Thanks for the tips. Peace, Bob Sommer

Polishing the feed ramp did a lot for me, Bob. There's a product known as "Joey's Key Chain", that's a machined trigger for the pistols, that actually felt like it reduced the amount of pull on my .45. I did it on one of my C9's but it didn't make that big of a difference for me. I don't have a .40, so I can't speak for that product, but for the .45, it's a welcome addition.

As for sites that have holsters for HP's, Amazon seems to be about the best, over all.

Welcome to the forum!

I think HP has a fair deal on a holster for only $20.
