Evening all,

I just recently (last week) got myself a HiPoint 995, the classic stocked one for a STEAL. Traded it for a weapon light! Plan on having it sent in to HiPoint to have it looked over, checked, and any repairs made that are necessary and hopefully have it upgraded to a TS. Anyways, this is the first HiPoint I've owned...and I'm lookin forward to shooting it!

Once again, Hello! :hand:

Don't get it upgraded -- the classic is a great carbine all on its own.

Welcome to the madness.
Like Amp said, keep it like it is and just add a TS later, they both have their place.
Bad news is, once the madness takes hold, you'll be buying inexpensive guns from other manufacturers, then, you'll learn to justify more expensive guns, ammo, accessories, bells and whistles.
Good luck with all that

It's all so very true! It's not a madness, it's a sickness. Interventions don't help. You have just joined a very unPC group called the GUN FREAKS! We have these odd notions that the Constitution matters, that civil rights are for everyone, and personal protection is a... well, a personal responsibility, hence the name. :welcome:

It can have a TS stock put on but it cannot be upgraded to a TS.... the classic 9mm carbine lacks the last round bolt hold open feature that the newer TS has, and it cannot be retrofitted for that feature...

I agree with the guys above, keep it and buy a TS too.... they are both awesome weapons for the money.

Happy shooting Dave Gillespie - (Sharp Shooter), you will be missed and remembered.

We will miss you Jerry Roberts - (woodyubet), you will not be forgotten.

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.

Inexpensive guns seem to breed faster than expensive ones. Welcome.

God Bless, Scott
