Over the years I've owned two Hi Point pistols and a 995ts. Sold them all and I'm picking up a 995ts today. Glad to be back in the family. Thanks for the add. Looking for interesting mods and paint jobs as well. Thanks again.

The pistols come and go - no big deal. The carbines are a lot more fun and a great value.

Didn't notice the takedown pins til I got home... Is this a classic in TS clothing?

I "think" some of the early TS carbines came out with the old style takedown bolts.. easiest way to tell is see if the carbine has a last round hold open feature... the original 995 did not and cannot be retrofitted for the hold open feature. IF your carbine has no last round hold open it is indeed an original 995 classic in a TS stock.

It's definitely a ts stock..... Don't have a picture of the whole thing with me but I've had a ts before. So with an empty mag it does not lock when charging it. Must be a classic.

That would be my guess. Still a nice carbine though.

Yeah I'm happy with it for $200. Either way, the carbine has to be charged on a mag change anyway, right?

Yes you would have to pull the charging lever back a little bit and let go on a mag change even on a TS carbine... and for 200 you did very well for a classic 995 in a TS stock
