Hi everyone. I just got a new 4595TS. This is my first Hi Point and I am new to the forums. I had a couple of questions. I put a compensator on and managed to get it on but it was pretty tight trying to get it on the barrel. Just seeing if that is consistent. I went to an outdoor range Saturday and put 150 rounds through it. The first shots were a good ways left but I sighted in and got some pretty good groupings throughout the day. I adjusted the sight quite a ways to the right to get it straight. Not sure how typical that is also. Maybe someone can comment. I have the red dot as well so that made sighting the gun a little easier. Overall I felt the gun shot great and am happy with my purchase. After all I got the gun with red dot for $300 plus $20 dealer transfer fee. It was a lot of fun to shoot and look forward to shooting it some more.

If anyone is interested in .45 ammo, I bought from Palmetto State Armory. 50 rounds for $14.99. I ended up buying 6 boxes. Seemed like a good deal to me. Here is a link if posting links is allowed here. Basically .30 cents a round which is cheaper than what I can find in any local stores. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.ph ... 1252u.html

Welcome jetguy! Howdy from Arizona!
:welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

Posting most anything is OK... we do! ;) Though we discourage any overly revealing girly pics... I think you'll find lots of "girls with guns" photos around!

The front "compensator" should be tight! I've read lots guys have issues with them falling off after a while. Lot of vibration and shock at the end you know! Some have used Loctite
to ensure they stay put.

Glad you got you carbine sighted in and shooting well! I'd suggest also to load the mags up full and let them set a bit to "breakin" the facktory spring. The mags are usually the weak
link. Sometimes it also helps to "de-burr" the underside of the mag lips with some 800 grit sand paper so it's easier for the bolt to strip the rounds off the top. I'd recommend waiting on any other polishing to see if it needs it. Also I'd leave the mag lips alone (as far as "tweaking them") unless it's shown to be needed!

Glad to have you on board! We're a friendly lot here and always welcome new members/ideas/comments/"girls with guns photos/jokes/stories, etc...

Don't know if you've noticed, but we have a contest running right now for best story, tale, camping experience, shooting experience etc with a prize.
Multiple entries are OK, it's just limited to new members with low posts and you are a perfect candidate!

you can loosen the front sight post with the two set screws and slightly rotate the entire front sight in the direction needed to be able to adjust the rear sight more towards the middle...

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.

With the front site, a little adjustment goes a long way....trust me. Move it a little and then hold to tighten because they like to go back to their original position.
