Never shot one with the factory stock? :?
But I've never heard of it happening. And you know we'd have heard about it here if it had! ;)

I believe it was tom or jack that just saw one on the 995 at a LGS. ;)
It's still gonna be late summer or so before they have enough to sell without the guns attached though. :?

They've finally hit the street; thread on the HPFF:

http://www.hipointfirearmsforums.com/Fo ... 365.0.html

No word on whether they're available now for current 995 users.

Happy shooting Dave Gillespie - (Sharp Shooter), you will be missed and remembered.

We will miss you Jerry Roberts - (woodyubet), you will not be forgotten.

We are better off from having known you Dean Stephens -(ampersand) It wont be the same around here without you.

Yeah, I'm undecided so far, thanks to a paucity of photos. Once we get a better idea of how it looks from more angles, I may or may not go for it. I've never been an ATI fan, and I like this better; just whether it's "better enough" remains to be seen. Of interest: the word is that it feels sturdier than the original, a common justification for ATI.

I may be a minority, but all of the rails attached to it look like they will make it uncomfortable to hold in the front. I think its good that they are attempting to make it where people can mount things easily, but there are others like me who just want a comfortable stock to hold on to.

Rails top and bottom in front, none on sides...just ribs. Looks really uncomfortable, but actually doesn't feel bad at all, to me at least. But then, due to damaged nerve in my neck, my left hand is partially numb. The stock does feel good and strong, at least to my fondling without shooting the weapon. Never asked, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have taken too kindly to me bustin a few caps in the store :dunno:

I'll try to get in for a few pics sometime today if I get a chance.

Its not that its ugly to me, its a matter of how does it feel in your hands. I guess I will have to see if there is a Hi Point dealer in this neck of the woods, and see if they have one I can hold in my hands.

I thought the new stock looked pretty cool when it was first revealed, but the more I see it, the less interested I am. Not sure why. :dunno:

I am comfortable with the fugly stock that is the current stock. Maybe that is why I am in no rush to run out and get one of the new style. :dunno:

I'll second the fugly stock, especially since I added the butt plate, gripall, muzzle break and the red dot scope, I'm set.

My thinking is that the new stock will be easy to mod into an adjustable length stock. I think the regular stock is butt ugly, and the ATI uglier, but I don't care. When I shot 995's 995, I liked the feel and the way it handled, and I knew I needed one.

I personally think the new stock is a LOT better looking than the original. Although I'll admit the old one was comfortable to hold (never shot it like that) the look just never appealed to me. :?

I personally love my ATI stock on my 995, so I don't want to replace that. What I do want is the new stock on the 4595!
