Recently a doctor was shot in Philadelphia, he was carrying so he was able to shoot back. Both shooters allegedly had .32 caliber handguns. Both survived, although another person did not. The shooter was hit four or five times out of seven rounds fired and apparently continued standing and was subdued while he was reloading.

In this one instance the .32 possibly did what it was intended to do, slow down, but not stop the attacker, or maybe not. I can see how a doctor might choose an ineffective weapon such the .32 for self defense. They are after all, supposed to prolong lives, not take them. On the other hand, the article didn't say how many shots the attacker used to kill the first person (yes it did-"Plotts shot Hunt twice in the head, Whelan said...") or how many were aimed towards the doctor, other than the one that grazed him?

May we always realize the cost of our freedom. We can never repay them, but the very least we can do is uphold the ideals that they died protecting and honor them in the choices we make each day.

The greatest RE-productive force is human selfishness (Say NO! to population growth!).

Just because you are unnatural, bizarre, bring problems on yourself, and don't fit in does not mean I dislike you...well, yeah it does

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!” ― Hunter S. Thompson
