Picked this up today and I wasn't even looking for a gun.
It was decorated by somebody with a woodburner, but it don't look that bad. :hmmm:

Nice rifle. That woodburning actually looks pretty good.

Those are neat little rifles. I think the wood burning looks okay too -- it proves the rifle was owned and cared for by somebody.

$200 is a great price too -- good buy.

How many 30-30 bolt guns exist? I think its a great deal! GB has one for that price, but the others are all more.

Thanks guys
I fired 3 rounds through it when I got it home, just to make sure it worked, and it does.
I'll make some time today and try to hit a coffee can at 150 yards, see how these sights are.

That is really awesome. I like the fact that it's a bolt action as well.

I filled a coffee can full of water and took it our to 100 yards.
The first shot I flinched a bit and it hit the dirt right in front of the can.
The second shot took the lid off but didn't hit the can.
I put the lid back on and grazed the lid with 2 shots and drilled the can with the next one.
For old eyes and open sights, I'll say this gun shoots good enough to hunt deer with open sights.
With a little practice, I'd bet this thing learns to shoot. :great:

Anything smaller than a bright red coffee can is hard for me to see too, but generally speaking, if I can see something, I can hit it.
I've shot coffee cans at 100 yards with my Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 mag before.
Of course, if I hit 1 or 2 out of 6 I'm doing good at that distance.
