Ok it had to be done. We have a lot of members with sweet, sleek, .22 caliber hand guns and rifles. I think it is high time we start to show some off. I'll have some free time tomorrow and will take some pictures of some of mine and get them here. In the meantime, and in between time, feel free to post pics or your deuce deuces!

The prospect of tyranny may not grab the headlines the way vivid stories of gun crime routinely do. But few saw the Third Reich coming until it was too late. The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed — where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once. ~Alex Kozinski (Ninth Circuit Judge)

EDITED - OK... I HAVE to try to make a decent picture so I will re-post my .22's - just looking at some of the better pictures to get some ideas as to what looks good...

This 1958 Star Model F was given to me from one of my best friends that I lost in 1998 due to a sudden heart attack.

Not very valuable on the market... but priceless to me.

Smith and Wesson 22A with NCStar red or green dot sight. Comes with 2 10 round clips and shoots like a dream.

Ercnan that 572 is a cool little plinker. I saw one at a local Scheel's All Sports that is mint with a high gloss stock. $450 seems high but it is a sweety!

That Star Model F is very cool! Never seen or heard of one before. Anymore details or pics of that on Shadow?

And now I'll post a couple of mine. I have plenty to post but will try and mix them in.

First up is my favorite pistol. My Ruger Mark I made in 1969.

Image

And then comes my grandpa's old .22. Of course grandpa passed away and now this is my dads. I love how it looks like a Mosin. It is a Springfield Model 66B and has no serial number. It needs and will get some TLC.

Image

Image

Next is my wifes Browning BL-22. This one is a real beaut and shoot like a dream.

Image

Image

Image

Here we have my sons H&R Versa Pak. It is currently wearing the .410 barrel but for this purpose looks about the same.
Image

Image

Here is Boom Plop. So named because when it goes Boom something goes Plop!

Image

Image

And finally (I guess I posted them all) is my sons new (to us) Model 77 Remington. These are very tough to find as they were made but briefly. We picked it up minus the scope for $149.00. Check that against gunbroker!

And for you toe freaks...I swear this makes me feel dirty!

I've heard the Hi Standards are a fine piece. The local gun shop has one for what might be a reasonable price of $379 but it has been there awhile. They have a good feel. Those Buckmarks are sure some fine shooters too I hear.

The Hi-Standard was given to me by my parents when I was 17 years old. As my Dad use to say: "I wouldn't take a cotton farm in Georgia for it."

The Buckmark was given to me by my four sons for my last birthday. It is indeed a fine shooting gun. I shoot it more then anything else I have.

Come to think of it, I wouldn't take a cotton farm in Georgia for it either.

Here are mine-- in no particular order of when I purchased them--

Also, I apologize for the cruddy quality-- my wife's digital is at her sister's...

anywho--

My Armscor Model 20P-- Sold as a Squire Bingham in the USA at K Mart mostly-- picked this up for $99 off of GB. The original mags are pricey, but I found them at Sportsman's on clearance for $19 I think. It is a great shooter and pretty accurate. This is the same rifle Armscor sells with AK47/M16 lookalike crud on the outers--
Image

Next-- Henry AR7- another GB find on the cheap-- Shoots ok, but is picky ammowise and the sights suck-- although I bought it for a boat rifle to pop turtles an snakes..

Image

Next is (2) JA22s and (1) J22-- One JA22 was $100 at the gunshow, One was $25 from a coworker (plus $9 for a firing pin retaining pin/assembly thingy from Jimenez to get the gun to work. He disassembled it, a part shot across his room, and he never found it. The Jennings was free-- I gave another coworker OT during slow times at my last job. He had kids and recently took in a child who was abandonded by the boy's literal crackhead mom. I felt bad he was struggling to take care of his family-- so I gave him extra work-- one day he showed up and said "Here ya go-- it aint much, but you can have it--"-- anyway, all need F&B and TLC, but they are pretty fun plinkers...
Image

My favorite-- Heritage RR 6.5-- $149 at Academy, and fun as H*ll!!
Image

Next is my NA22S {.22Short}(beside my replacement CF380). I always wanted this one-- it is tiny, and not good past table length, but it is a cutie-- plus you can put it in a shirt pocket and literally almost forget you are carrying..
Image

Almost to the end--my Rossi Model 62-- I got it for $150 from the same coworker who gave me the Jennings J22-- Always wanted agallery gun as a kid-- I couldn't pass on this one. It appeared to have never been fired (prior to me) . I had a couple of briks of .22 Long (not LR) that I am running through it due to the fact none of my other .22s like shooting them...
Image

This one is my baby-- My first rifle and third gun (after .410 and 20 GA single shots)-- and the first gun I got new. I was in 6th grade.... I am unsure how many thousand rounds have gone through it, but I assure you, scores of squirrels have ended up on my table due to it; most were taken at 50+ yards with open irons... I love this rifle!!
Image

Finally is the best value little garage shooter--in the lower right hand corner, my RG10. $49 at a pawn-- I run Colbris through it in my garage range and have never had a complaint from the family or neighbors...Fun SNS action!!!
Image

Sorry so long-- I love rimfires!!!

:D
